Main Responsibilities

  • You act as the first point of contact for our retail customers dealing with software and hardware incidents.
  • Provide remote support for minor adjustments and issue resolution across store systems (cash registers), LAN & WAN networks (switch/router), POS systems, payment terminals, and Microsoft Windows Client/Server environments.
  • Keep an eye on existing monitoring alerts from connected stores and take timely action.
  • Take ownership of creating and following up on various technical reports.

Requirements

  • You are interested in everything IT-related (network, security, server, storage, PCs, ...) or you have some initial experience in the IT sector. Experience as an IT helpdesk employee, particularly in retail services, is a plus.
  • You are customer-oriented and have strong communication skills.
  • You enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You are willing to work in a flexible schedule (early and late shifts, including weekends and holidays).
  • You are fluent in French/Dutch and have a good command of English.

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of networks (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, IP telephony, …) is expected.
  • Familiarity with laptops, tablets, peripherals, and payment terminals is considered a strong asset.
  • Awareness of ITIL principles (ITIL v3 Foundation) counts as a plus.
  • You have a basic understanding of one or more Microsoft Windows Client/Server platforms such as: Server 2016, Windows 11, SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365.
